The Kelly Award for Juvenile Arthritis Research

kellyA Non-Profit Charity, the Arthritis National Research Foundation funds at least one juvenile arthritis project each year.

The Kelly Award is a special designation awarded annually to a specific Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) grant recipient devoted to studying a cure for juvenile arthritis. When you make your charitable donation to the ANRF, you have the opportunity to direct your funds to "The Kelly Award" as your charitable contribution to further research for treatments and cures of arthritis that particularly affects children.

"Kelly" in The Kelly Award is more than just a word – she’s one of our ANRF board members, Kelly Rouba.  Ms. Rouba is a national spokesperson for ANRF and an inspiration to all who come in contact with her. She has had debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis since the age of 2.  Despite the chronic and often severe pain she suffers every day, Kelly is a successful writer and advocate for people with all disabilities, not limited to arthritis.  Her beauty, inside and out, was celebrated when she won Ms. Wheelchair New Jersey in December 2006.

As a charity that puts a great deal of focus on children, the ANRF is unique in North America as it uses a full 91% of your charitable donation to fund research for arthritis to help children of all ages.

To be a part of this exciting research, make your charitable donation to the Kelly Award today!

“I am committed to finding a cure for the 300,000 youth in America with juvenile arthritis,” says Kelly, “and research is the key.  Juvenile arthritis robs our youth of their childhood – people need to know that arthritis is not only a disease that afflicts you as you age.  It is our goal at ANRF to educate America about the devastating effects of arthritis on young people, too, and provide grant recipients the necessary funding they need to find treatments and cures for arthritis in children."
